About Me

Hello my name is David and I am 48 Years old and have worked in the technical industry for over 30 years, I have worked at British Telecom, o2/Cellnet and at Anglia Ruskin Univeristy as a Techinical specialist.

I was an IT specialist working within the Department of Computing
and Technology for the Faculty of Science and Technology at
Anglia Ruskin University, I had held this position for 12 years.
A major part of my working day is spent supporting students as
they complete their assessments in the activities listed below.

Using this feature allows us to be completely flexible in where
we can teach our modules it allows us to use any computer on
campus and is not dependent on the resources of the local machine
We have successfully tested and used Matlab and Visual Studio
2010 in the classroom environment and is being considered by the
faculty to be used for distance learning students

I have had a Capital budget averaging £40k pa
Heavily involved in identifying and procuring of new equipment to
support teaching within the department and Faculty
Involved in planning IT teaching resources with members of senior
management within our central service departments e.g. ITS and
the Library
Deployment of the first 3d teaching facility on the Cambridge
campus supporting 3 degree programs
