The last time I participated in a capture the flag competition it was with the cyber security degree students we were teaching at ARU and we did terribly. We didnt even get the ‘1 or 1’ form bypass technique in fact we scored 0 points on the who CTF and it was kind of embarrassing but we all took it with a pinch of salt. Since then I have worked on my own skills and have the ability to lead as well, being part of a team that works on these things the most important thing to have is a leader who can inspire and motivate the team in order to gain success. I am (after python and maths) going to start on hackthebox and vulnhub to get some practice in because we dont get any ethical hacking until semester 2. I am also going to get back in touch with my previous employer and talk to some of my buddies who are techies and see if we can do some work together on research or just joining forces and forging closer links with OWASP
